The park management had already built a sound and light stadium, and awareness gallery and inaugurated it in October. Various development works are being carried out in the park, including a picnic spot, which has also been enhanced to attract public.
“We would screen 3D videos of wild animals. The facily also has cameras to capture visitors at the park. It will then incorporate those footages with the footage of animals. Thus, the visitors can touch and shake hands with the animals in virtual reality,” said a senior official of the Guindy National Park. The oraganisers have included animals like dinosaurs, tigers, leopards, bears, kangaroos, giraffes, penguins, pandas, dolphins and anacondas in the 3D show. There are three shows and would be aired for 15 minutes.
“There has been a good response from the public and we could see children enjoying it. The crowd visiting the park has been high since it’s the holiday season. The increase in ticket price has not affected the patronage negatively. Visitors are excited to see the animals in 3D,” he added.
