The complainant, Aadhi of Rajapalayam in Virudhu Nagar, is said to be a fish vendor. His 17-year-old son is pursuing Visual Communication in a city college, while his younger son is a school student.

Aadhi, who decided to create a platform for his sons in the film industry, produced a movie and made his elder son the director as well as the villain. His 15-year-son played the hero. He claimed that he produced the film titled Virudhu (Award) at a budget of Rs 96 lakh over the year with three heroines.

He recently released the film in a few theatres in Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram districts by paying the theatre owners and approached a theatre in Ayanavaram. He allegedly paid the theatre manager Rs 20,000 to screen his movie for a week.

However, he visited the theatre on Sunday and found that they did not screen the film. An argument erupted between him and the theatre staff, after which he approached the Ayanavaram police.

Initially baffled by his complaint, the police later held peace talks between them. After the theatre manager agreed to screen the film, Aadhi withdrew his complaint.
