2 transpersons among 3 held for ganja peddling
The Ayanavaram police arrested three persons, including two transgender persons, for possession of ganja.

They were identified as L Anandavalli (32) of Pulianthope and S Sathishkumar (28) alias Sanjana Sree of Ayanavaram and A Arivazhagan (19) alias Geetha. Among the trio, Anandavalli is the daughter of a notorious ganja peddler Vel Azhagi, the police said.Â
The transgender persons were secured by the police during a night patrol from Mettukuppam area and investigation revealed that they work for Anandavalli. She was detained and the police found that she smuggled ganja from Andhra Pradesh and peddled them through transgender persons in areas such as Kodambakkam, Ayanavaram, Anna Nagar and ICF. As much as 2 kg ganja and Rs 65,000 were seized from her. All three were remanded in judicial custody.
