Fusion music to fill the air at Central Metro Station
Come December, and there’s music everywhere around us in Chennai. Why not in metro stations too? To let the bustling stations resound with music, city’s metro rail operator Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has tied up with Unwind School of Music to bring a full-fledged musical performance to Central Metro Station on December 11.

“The performance will feature local artistes performing their originals in both fusion and jazz in English and Tamil,” a statement from CMRL said. The musical event is being held to create awareness on the two-day indie music festival, The Road to GIF, to be held at YMCA Grounds in Nandanam on January 4 and 5, 2020. The indie music fest is a prelude to the Global Isai Festival scheduled to be held in the city in February 2020.
“CMRL also invites performers of various genres to participate in this Metro Music Edit,” the statement added.
