Hire e-scooters for Re 1/min at Alandur station
To provide last mile connectivity, Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) in association with Flyy Rental Service has launched a fleet of keyless, smart and eco-friendly electric scooters that will be made available for Re 1 per minute.

The electric scooters can be picked up from Alandur Metro station by using the Flyy app available through Google Play, a release from CMRL said.
At the end of the ride, passengers can drop the e-scooter anywhere within the Flyy zone (area marked in blue colour). The e-scooter service would be available from 7 am to 9 pm at Re 1 per minute.
At present, a total of six electric scooters are available at Alandur station which will be extended to 15 scooters as the demand increases.
In February, Chennai Metro first made available the electric scooters rental services in association with Vogo Automotive Limited at two stations-Guindy and Alandur.Â
The commuters must pay a booking charge of Rs 20 and usage charges of Rs 4 per kilometre up to 10 hours. After 10 hours, the user would be charged an extra of Rs 0.6 per minute.
Meanwhile, the Nandanam station wore a new look with its redpaint coating.
The Chennai Metro has awarded contracts for branding the Nandanam, Thousands Light and Teynampet stations to private companies.
As a result, the Nandanam station, which was awarded to a private finance company, painted it in red. Soon, the Teynampet and Thousands Light stations would also witness a makeover in terms of branding,sources said.
