Deputy Commissioner I Easwaran (Ambattur police district), under whose jurisdiction the Tirumullaivoyal police station comes, when contacted, said that he has sought details whether they really made any preventive arrest and instructed the police personnel to bring him for an inquiry. “Nobody is detained overnight in a station unless it is a preventive arrest and his review does not sound right. I’m looking into it,” the officer said.
