Man ends life due to stomach pain
A 26-year-old man committed suicide by slitting his throat with a kitchen knife allegedly unable to bear stomach pain in Red Hills on Saturday. The deceased, identified as Shahul Hamid of Thiruvalluvar Street in Naravarikuppam, was a house painter by profession, said the police.

Police added that he was suffering from stomach pain for the last few days. On Saturday evening, he locked the house from inside and slit his throat. Hearing his cries, neighbour broke open the door, but Shahul was lying dead in a pool of blood.Â
On information, the Red Hills police retrieved his body and sent it to Stanley Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
