CMRL installs time display boards at airport
Passenger information display systems have been installed near the walkalator that connects the domestic and international terminals of the airport by the Chennai Metro Rail and Airport Authority of India. The CMRL has also planned to display train timings at bus stops near Metro stations.

An official release said that the train timings would be displayed at the Airport on a real time basis, which would help passengers arriving at Chennai. Besides, CMRL would also put up signage in the arrival halls of the international and domestic terminals indicating the direction to the Metro station and the timings of the first and the last trains as well.
It has been longstanding demand of the commutersseeking the display of the train timings at the street level entrance of the station and nearest bus stop.
Along the Metro rail alignment, there are several stations located right on the bus stops, including CMBT, Alandur, Kilpauk, Egmore and Central. There are plans to move the bus stops closer to the station to provide better connectivity.
Aravind Raj, a commuter at Central Metro station urged the CMRL to install a passenger information display system at the Central railway station and at the Moore Market Complex entrance, too for the benefit of long distance and suburban train passengers. “CMRL also should install signagesindicating direction to the Central Metro station as well,”he demanded.
