The upcoming second edition of the fest will host a total of 55 entrepreneurs, from Chennai and other cities, who are working on a variety of vegan products — from clothing, food, beauty to skincare products.

Ideated and organised by the founder of city-based vegan store Earth Story, Dhaval Chandarana, along with Shweta Agarwal, the two-day event is also touted to be a gathering of vegans and those keen on leading sustainable lifestyle.

“I started Earth Story in the city so I could let people know that there are many vegan options available around us. When one decides to go vegan, he or she often wonders where they’re going to source the products that are vegan. While our last edition of the Conscious Market in January had 38 brands, we will be having a total of 55 brands this time. The idea is to bring all the vegan businesses together and spread awareness to people on the impact that vegan lifestyle can have on the planet,” Dhaval tells us. The event will have brands offering vegan tofu, vegan cheese, nut-based butters, vegan skin and haircare products, menstrual pads out of banana fibres, clothing out of natural fibres and much more.

The Conscious Market will be held on November 9 and 10 at ExpressAvenue from 11 am to 9 pm.
