Apart from helping the city’s fashionable set shop, she is showing everyone how to style with great panache. Her personal blog, Stylemuze, has been growing at a fast pace and her styling videos have garnered a lot of attention. In just a few months, she has become a social media style star to watch out. Pavitra shares witty ideas like how to hide food bump and look fabulous after bingeing at the buffet!
With a clever mix of brands, both luxury and high street, she has mastered the art of high-low dressing. If you are ever stuck in a style rut or want to wear your favourite saree in a different style, then she is the right person to get ideas from. Every once in a while, this overachieving mother, who makes it all look so easy, shares some adorable 'mommy and daughter' co-ordinated looks that are just too cute to not try.
I, for one, am trying to convince her to enter the styling game and promise to be her first client and I know that there are many who will be lining up for the same. This city needs a stylist, at least for red carpets and events, who lives and breathes fashion the way Pavitra does. Now that I have put the idea out there, I’m hoping as Paulo Coelho said: The universe will conspire to make it happen.
Darshana’s Halloween party becomes the talk of the town
Darshana Balagopal has been making waves ever since she started working with a popular smartphone brand. From being part of the mobile phone launch to its grand success, she has been an integral part of the team. The city has been abuzz with her accomplishments and I know that she has more great ideas up her sleeve.
This Halloween, she hosted a party that was exclusive and no one will forget it anytime soon! With some of the hottest DJs flown down from Dubai, the night went into the wee hours of the morning. The décor was incredibly spooky and they worked with a special effects team to create it for the party. For everyone, apart from the select few who were invited, social media proved to be their window into the party. The invitees pulled out all the stops and everyone from Darth Vader, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Pirates, Batwoman, Maleficent and a fortune teller made an appearance with costumes being meticulously put together.
Rachel B Singh of Stylesmith has had her calendar full this week turning Chennai's most beautiful and accomplished women into scary chic. And one among them was Shweta Gupta, Director, Novotel Chennai Chamiers Road. She dressed up as Cleopatra and took home the title for being the best dressed. Undoubtedly, she looked every inch like the Queen of the Nile.
We all know that Darshana knows how to throw a party but what we love even more is celebrating one of our own making a name for herself in the national scene.
