PT teacher held for raping Class 12 girl

The accused, Rajesh of Tirumullaivoyal, joined as physical education teacher at a school in Tirunindravur where the 17-year-old victim is studying in Class 12. It is said that Rajesh developed a relationship with the girl and forced her to go out with him for movies.

On Sunday, too, he allegedly asked the girl to come out with him, which the girl allegedly refused. Instead, she reportedly asked him to come to her house and wait on the first floor until her parents went out. The girl’s family stayed in the ground floor and had rented out the first floor. The tenants had gone to their hometown for Deepavali, police said.

However, as her parents changed their plan, the girl went to the first floor to ask Rajesh to leave. But he allegedly forced her to have sex with her. When the girl did not return for a long time, her parents went to the first floor and found them in a compromisingposition.

Along with the neighbours, they thrashed and handed him over to Avadi all-women police. After investigation, police booked Rajesh under Pocso Act and Section 366 of the IPC, and remanded him in judicial custody.
