Nellai and Pothigai express to depart from Tambaram for 2 months
Owing to the work scheduled at Chennai Egmore railway station and Egmore – Villupuram - Gudur section, the Southern Railway has decided to change the departure of trains, including Nellai Express and Pothigai Express, to Tambaram station from October 9 to December 8.

Chennai Egmore – Gaya weekly express departure has been shifted to MGR Chennai Central, said a statement. From October 9 to December 7, Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore Nellai Express (Train no 12632) will run from Tirunelveli to Tambaram. Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli Nellai Express (Train no 12631) commencing journey from October 10 to December 7 will depart from Tambaram instead of Chennai Egmore as per scheduled timings.
Sengottai – Chennai Egmore Pothigai Express (Train no 12662) commencing journey from October 9 to December 7 will run from Sengottai to Tambaram. The return train, Chennai Egmore – Sengottai Pothigai Express (Train no 12261) commencing journey from October 10 to December 7 will depart from Tambaram as per scheduled timings.
Gaya – Chennai Egmore Weekly Express (no 12389) commencing journey on October 13, 20 and 27; November 3, 10, 17 and 24; and December 1 will be diverted to MGR Central instead of Chennai Egmore. Chennai Egmore – Gaya Weekly Express (Train no 12390) commencing journey on October 15, 22 and 29; November 5, 12, 19 and 26; and December 3 will start from MGR Central instead of Chennai Egmore. It will depart at 7.25 am.
Villupuram – Tambaram Passenger (Train no 56060) commencing journey from October 10 to December 8 will run from Villupuram toChengalpattu.
