AC Tech invites nominations for Distinguished Alumni Award

A jury comprising Prof MS Ananth, former director, IIT Madras; N Sankar, Sanmar Group, Subbaraman Sankar, IAS (Retd); and Prof S Meenakshisundaram, Dean, AC Tech (all alumni of AC Tech) will choose the alumni from the nominees, said a press release, adding that nomination form can be downloaded from actechalumni.org.

The Platinum Jubilee Celebrations Committee has charted a series of activities in connection with the celebration from December 20 to 22. The committee will be headed by N Srinivasan of India Cements, with PR Venketrama Raja of Ramco Cements, Srinivasan K Swamy of RK Swamy BBDO and Vidya Shankar, president, AC Tech Alumni Association, as members.

As part of the event, a host of activities, including a multi-disciplinary symposium on chemical engineering, textile technology, leather technology, industrial biotechnology, ceramic technology, petroleum technology, nanotechnology, and food and pharma technology would be held, the press release said, adding that there would be a Make in India exhibition covering these subjects.
