16 kg ganja seized from Kerala man at Central station

The accused, Shabi (27) of Kozhikode, was secured when he reached the MGR Central station. His belongings were searched and the contraband weighing about 16 kg was seized from him. He was remanded in judicial custody.

The city police also arrested two men in possession of ganja in Selaiyur and Villivakkam. D Martin (19) of Selaiyur was arrested by the local police and 1.15 kg of ganja was seized from him. In Villivakkam, P Dhanasekar (26) of same locality was arrested and 1.25 of kg ganja was seized. Both were remanded in judicial custody.

Meanwhile, Pulianthope police arrested three persons and seized gutkha products worth Rs 1.5 lakh. Bhaskar (53), Bharatkumar (38) and his wife Leelavathi (29) were remanded in judicial custody.
