The victim, Papilla (25), was working as a lecturer at Tagore Dental College in Rathinamangalam village on ECR. According to her, a few staffs of the college were harassing and verbally abusing her repeatedly. She recorded one such incident a few days ago and lodged a complaint with the Thalambur police against the admin employee Lakshmikanthan, general manager Sasi Kumar, Finance department employee Senthil Kumar, vice-principal Venkatakrishnan and sanitary worker Muniammal. She alleged that the college administration was not helping when she reported the incident. The police added that the authorities asked her to quit the job and even disconnected the water supply to her house in the college quarters.
The police received a complaint and registered an FIR against all of them under Sections 354(A)1(i), 354(B), 379, 506(i) of the IPC. However, the college management said that Papilla, who was working in the college for the last one-and-a-half years, was not regular to work for the last six months as she was addicted to drugs. The Thalambur police inspector said that they have filed an FIR against all of them and nobody has been arrested yet.
