Customs seizes bodybuilding supplements

The officials intercepted Boom Murugan (36) and Mohamed Ali (37) of Madurai and Hariharan (31) of Trichy, who arrived from Dubai. As they appeared to be nervous, the officials examined their baggage and found the supplements concealed. The officials recovered myodrol HSP, an androgenic steroid (1530 bottles), BCCA amino acid powder (48 pieces), glutamine powder (47 pieces) and curse gym workout powder (45 pieces), all valued at Rs 33 lakh. Fifty-four cartons of Davidoff white slim cigarettes worth Rs 1 lakh were also recovered. On inquiry, they informed the officials that the goods were to be handed over to a person waiting outside the airport. They were taken outside the airport but nobody approached them. The trio were detained for further inquiry.
