College student killed in hit-and-run case in Anna Nagar

The deceased has been identified as Kishore (19) of Anna Nagar 18th street, who rode pillion. The rider, Dilliraj (19) of the same locality, has been admitted to Kilpauk Medical College Hospital. Tirumangalam traffic investigation police have registered a case and have launched a hunt for the car that fled the spot after causing the accident.

In yet another fatal accident, a 16-year-old girl died and her neighbour sustained injuries as two bikes collided head on on Ennore High Road. The deceased, K Gomathi of Tiruvottiyur, and the injured, Dinesh, were returning home from Gomathi’s school when the bike collided head on with another bike coming in the opposite direction. Passers-by rushed them to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital where Gomathi died without responding to treatment. The Washermanpet traffic investigation police have registered a case and further inquiry is on.
