Andhra woman conned at hospital
The Washermenpet police have launched a hunt for an unidentified man who pretended to help a woman patient from Andhra Pradesh who had come to Stanley Medical College Hospital, and escaped with her jewels and mobile phone.

The victim, Suppammal from Andhra Pradesh, reached the hospital on Saturday to get treatment for chest pain, the police said. A man, who posed as a helper, took her to different departments in the hospital before taking her to the scanning room. He allegedly told her that she was not supposed to wear jewels while entering the room and asked her give the valuables to him. The woman, who came back after scanning was over, found the man missing. After searching for him in the hospital premises, she reported the incident to the officers at the police booth in the hospital. Based on her complaint, the Washermenpet police are going through the CCTV footage to nab the man.
