The deceased was identified Eashwar Rao from Andhra Pradesh, who used to work in a software firm in the locality. The incident happened at Pinnacle Crest apartments (see pic) around 11.30 pm. The police said Eashwar visited the apartment on Tuesday morning and returned in the evening after meeting his aunt’s family in Nungambakkam. Around midnight, the security guard heard a loud noise in the garden on the second floor of Block 2 and found a man lying in a pool of blood.
Investigation by the Semmanchery police revealed that Eashwar had lost his parents and was addicted to drugs. “He lost his job and he used to stay with friends in different areas. He was staying in Thoraipakkam before he committed suicide,” said the police.
Residents of Pinnacle Crest apartments said that they often saw Eashwar at the building gym thought that he must know someone in the apartment to gain entry into the building. But, the police did not find anyone in the building who knew him. The Semmanchery police have asked his aunt to receive his body.
