64 Corpn officials, receive awards

According to a Chennai Corporation press release, Commissioner G Prakash handed over the certificates to 64 officials apart from giving away shields and cash rewards to community and mid-day meal workers.

“The Commissioner also distributed prizes to the headmasters of Chennai Corporation schools, who increased the students’ admission. Apart from this, headmasters of 25 schools, who recorded 100 per cent pass percentage, and five students, who scored full marks in public examinations also won prizes,” the release added.

Meanwhile, the managing director of Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board ,TN Hariharan, handed over a cash reward and certificate to a field employee who had completed 25 years in Metrowater.
