Burglars attack security guard, one arrested

Fellow guards managed to secure one of them and handed him over to the police. The accused, S Prakash (28) of Ambattur, was remanded in judicial custody on Monday and the police are searching for the other two suspects. The victim, Dhan Bahadur (64), a Nepali national, sustained grievous on his head injuries and has been admitted to the hospital. The incident happened in the wee hours of Sunday when the trio climbed the compound wall to steal the metal products from the premises. When Dhan Bahadur tried to stop them, he was attacked with iron rods.
