Suspects return to take selfie at murder spot, caught
A 27-year-old history-sheeter was hacked to death by a six-member gang on Sunday night. Two of the suspects were secured when they returned to the murder spot to take selfies with the dead body along with their machetes on Monday morning.

A few youngsters tried to flee on seeing police personnel on Rettai Kuzhi Street in Tondiarpet on Monday morning. On suspicion, the police chased them and two of them were secured. A machete in their possession was also seized.
Interrogation revealed they murdered a man in the nearbyMPT ground on Sunday night and returned the spot on Monday morning to ensure that they killed the person and also take selfies with the dead body.
Shocked, the police personnel took them to the spot and recovered the body. The deceased was identified as Suresh (27) of Kasimedu, who has robbery and attempt to murder cases pending against him. As the murder took place in New Washermenpet police station limits, the duo was handed over to them.
Investigation revealed that there was an ongoing rivalry between Suresh and another history-sheeter Karthik alias Kulla Karthik (25) over collecting mamool in the locality which resulted in the murder.
A hunt has been launched for remaining four suspects including Kulla Karthik. The police are also inquiring the duo.
