Two-way traffic allowed in LIC-Thousand lights

To construct subway and LIC- thousand lights metro railway station only one-way traffic was allowed in the Anna Salai between LIC and thousand lights for the past 7 years. Commuters going to DMS from LIC had to go through Patters road, Express Avenue to Gemini which created heavy congestion.

The metro rail between Vannarapettai and DMS started on 15th February and the metro rail company had planned to construct Anna Salai and return it in June. Unfortunately, it was postponed. 

From 3rd August, the restriction on two-way traffic in anna salai due to metro rail construction is being lifted. Hereafter, commuters can reach their destination on time without going on a roundabout.
