Break from spell keeps Chennai dry
Chennai has received a break from the seasonal spell on Sunday as most of the regions did not receive any rain.

Most of the districts remained dry with only a few parts of Vellore receiving one cm of rain.
As per regional meteorological department, light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur in isolated parts of the State.
The week is expected to be dry as only isolated parts are expected to receive light showers for next five days.
For next 48 hours, the sky condition is likely to be generally cloudy with light rain likely to occur in some areas.
The temperatures are expected to spike with maximum and minimum temperatures are to be around 36 degree Celsius and 29 degree Celsius respectively.
Meanwhile, on Sunday the maximum temperatures at two weather stations in Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam was 34.1degree Celsius and 33.6 degree Celsius respectively.
The minimum temperatures recorded were 28 degree Celsius and 26.8 degree Celsius respectively in Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam.
