Tiruvallur woman kills husband suspecting infidelity
A woman killed her husband, a construction worker, by throwing a grinding stone on his head while he was asleep after a quarrel over his alleged relationship with other women in Tiruvallur early on Friday.

The police said that Gnanammal (40) killed her husband Velu (45) as he was allegedly in relationship with women, who were working with him at a construction site. On Thursday night, the couple quarrelled and the altercation went on till late at night.
Gnanammal, who woke up early, took a grinding stone and smashed her husband’s head with it. The murder came to light on Friday morning when Gnanammal’s son and daughter woke up. Soon, the neighbours gathered at the house and alerted police personnel. A police team from the Vengal police station went to the spot and sent Velu’s body for autopsy. They arrested the woman after an inquiry.

In another incident in Tiruvallur, a 24-year-old man, allegedly involved in a few cases including attempt to murder, was found dead. His body was found at a casuarina grove near Gummidipoondi. The police suspect that the deceased Anand (24) was murdered by his friends during a drunken brawl on Thursday night. Anand was found murdered at Thalleripalayam village near Gummidipoondi. The Arambakkam police have registered a case and detained four of his friends on Friday. Anand has at least 12 cases pending against him in different police stations.
