NCB seizes 425 kg of ganja from car, one arrested
Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of Chennai on Friday seized 425 kg of ganja from a car and arrested its driver. The accused was identified as Babu (31) of Uslampatti in Madurai.

Based on a tip off, NCB sleuths intercepted a Toyota Innova Crysta car, bearing a fake TN registration number, which was about to enter the city via Periyapalayam from Andhra Pradesh. Checking the vehicle led to the seizure of the ganja which was concealed in newspapers and kept in the centre and back seats of the car. The contraband was trafficked under directions of an unidentified person from Theni, who supplies ganja to various places by sourcing it from Andhra and Odisha borders. Further investigation is on.
