WB man held for robbing woman at Royapettah
Nearly two months after a woman was robbed at knifepoint inside her house in Royapettah, a special team traced the suspect to Puducherry. Seven sovereigns stolen by Johnson Dutt (25) of West Bengal were retrieved.

The police said that they traced the suspect with the help of CCTV footage and the trail showed that he escaped to Puducherry on a two-wheeler. Since the two-wheeler he used also had been registered in Puducherry, the Royapettah police checked with their Puducherry counterparts and found out that the accused had been arrested by them in connection with another case. Dutt was brought to Chennai for inquiry and was handed over to the Puducherry police and lodged in the Central Prison there.
