Two held for attacking and robbing jeweller
Five days after two men attacked a jeweller and robbed gold rings from his shop in Vyasarpadi, police arrested the accused and seized the jewels.

The duo was identified as R Saravanan (22) and S Hasan Ali (27). Police said that both were history-sheeters related to robbery cases pending against them at Kodungaiyur and Pondy Bazaar police stations.
Saravanan who had been detained under Goondas Act was released from prison two weeks ago after which he met Hasan Ali, whom he had befriended while in prison.
Trying to steal jewels at another shop, which failed to work, the duo reached the shop posing as customers and attacked the shop owner Santhosh. The duo was remanded in judicial custody on Friday.Â
