    Container impounded after Khushbu’s tweet

A day after actor and Congress spokesperson Khushbu Sundar and tweeted photos of a container truck parked in the street where she lives in Santhome, raising suspicion as it did not even have a registration number, the Chennai city traffic police replied to her on Twitter on Sunday that the vehicle has been impounded.

They also urged her to download the GCTP citizen services app.

On Saturday, Khushbu tweeted pictures of a container and said: “This container has been parked at the corner of our street for the last 10 days. Not even a single citizen around that has even bothered to check or complain. It raises suspicion as it does not even have a number plate. Urge Chennai police to kindly look into it immediately (sic).”

After asking her for the location online on Saturday, Chennai Traffic Police’s twitter handle responded on Sunday stating that the vehicle was impounded and also requested her to download the application.

“Good afternoon madam, vehicle has been impounded and challan issued. May we urge you to download the GCTP Citizen Services App to report offences (sic),” said the tweet.

Khushbu thanked the police for the swift action and agreed to download the application. Meanwhile, responding to trolls online for her post regarding the container, she said she was at least responsible enough to raise the issue.
