    SSIT conducts 8th convocation by honouring 60 rank holders

    Sri Sairam Institute of Technology, conducted the 8th Graduation day in Shri Leo Muthu Indoor Stadium in the college premises recently. A total of 60 rank holders and 690 students were graduated among the Anna University Colleges.

    The rank holders were all honoured, with an overall value worth of Rs 25 lakh. The graduation day started by the procession of chief guest, other dignitaries and Department HOD Kalai Selvi and Chairman Leo Muthu inaugurated the function.


    Sai Prakash Leo Muthu, CEO, Sri Sairam Group of Institutions declared the graduation day open. Dr K Palanikumar Principal, Sri Sairam Institute of Technology welcomed the gathering and delivered the academic report. The presidential speech was given by Leo Muthu, in his speech he recalled that in the past 8 years, Sri Sairam Institute gave out more than 5,000 students in good ranks, not only that and the college has entered into NIRF, MHRD ranking list and various accreditations such as NBA, NAAC and secures a A+ accreditation in order to excel amongst the other colleges quality wise. Dr U Kamachi Mudali, noted scientist, Chairman and Chief Executive of Heavy Water Board, Department of Automic Energy, in his Graduation day addressed the students as that it’s the beginning of an exciting journey and is a great day in your life and career.


    According to him, every moment challenges and opportunities are growing in India as the progress and developments of the country is happening in an accelerated manner. He insisted on the quantity PEC (per capita electricity consumption) for an average Indian family, the PEC is 4400 kwh /annum, it is demonstrating that substantial increase in power generation needs to be achieved in the coming decades.


    He explained the importance of pursuing higher studies then the entrepreneurship is another path through which students can build their own industry to create modern technology through innovations and ideas. He also insisted the students to serve the country with excellence in the engineering sectors for enhancing with quality of life through generation in the country. “The engineering/ technology graduates are about 15,00,000 per year. I am sure that a considerable percentage of these graduates would take part in core engineering and serve the country with high innovation”, he added.
