The deceased were identified as Lakshya (7) of Ambedkar Nagar in Kodungaiyur, M John Jebaraj (21) of Chinna Mathur and Swarnarani (21) of Madhavaram.
According to the police, Lakshya, a Class 3 student, was riding pillion with her father Chandilyan, when the fatal accident happened around 10.30 pm on Saturday. They were returning home after shopping. In order to avoid taking a U-turn, Chandilyan drove in the wrong direction on the one-way road.

Lakshya was declared dead on arrival and her body was sent to the Stanley Medical College Hospital for autopsy. The Madhavaram Traffic investigation police registered a case and are searching for the other motorist.
