Priced at Rs 1,228, Bengaluru flights become pocket-friendly

All these flights will offer pocket-friendly fares to budget-conscious customers, with fares ranging from Rs 1,300 to Rs 3,900 for different sectors.

The airline would operate flights on Chennai-Varanasi-Chennai sector for four days in a week. Flight number AI-595 will leave Chennai at 4.50pm and reach Varanasi at 7.05pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. On Sundays, it will leave at 10.20am and reach Varanasi at 12.35pm. In the return direction, AI-596 will leave Varanasi at 7.35pm and arrive in Chennai at 9.35pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. On Sundays, it will leave at 1.10pm and arrive in Chennai at 3.30pm.

Starting fares are available from Rs 3,565, said a statement from Air India. In the case of Chennai-Bengaluru sector, a route that has good patronage, the airline will operate new flights AI 591/592 every day. Flight number 591 will leave Chennai at 7 am and reach Bengaluru at 8 am. In the return direction, AI-592 will leave Bengaluru at 8.35am and arrive in Chennai at 9.35am. Starting fares are available from Rs 1,228. This is on a par with – or even lesser than – some of the luxury buses that operate between these two cities.

New flights on Chennai-Ahmedabad-Chennai sector will operate on all days except Sundays. Flight number AI593 will leave Chennai at 10.20am and reach Ahmedabad at 1250 pm. In the return direction, AI-594 will depart from Ahmedabad at 1.40pm and arrive in Chennai at 4.05pm. Fares will start from Rs 3,880. New flights on Chennai-Kolkata-Chennai sector will operate four days a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flight number AI-597 will leave Chennai at 4.50pm and reach Kolkata at 7.25pm. In the return direction, AI-598 will leave Kolkata at 8pm and arrive in Chennai at 10.45pm. Starting fare will be Rs 3,670.
