Make summer sweeter with these flavourful mango recipes
Many would agree that mango is not just a fruit, but a memory that takes us back in time to our childhood. Whether it is eating raw mango with chilli or gorging on a ripe one, we all love this fruit.

While eating it as it is, is just as fun, we bring you four recipes that highlight the deliciousness of a mango. Start off with a vanilla mango mojito, which brings out the aromas of vanilla bean as well as the sweetness of a mango, and spiked mango popsicles with chilli, which is inspired from two of our childhood favourites — raw mango and lollies.
A no-bake mango cheesecake is the easiest dessert you can churn out within minutes to please your family and friends. Turn creative with these recipes that truly celebratethe mango.
Vanilla mango mojito
IngredientsÂ
Vanilla extract: ½ tsp
White rum: 60 ml
Lime: 1 juiced
Water or soda: 3 tbsp
Fresh mango: 2 tbsp diced
Sugar: 2 tsp
Mint leaves: 8

Method
- Â In a tall glass, add in the vanilla extract, sugar, diced mango and mint leaves.Â
- Â Pour in water and muddle the ingredients.Â
- Â Top with lime juice, rum and crushed ice to serve.Â
Spiked mango popsicles
IngredientsÂ
Chopped ripe mango: 3 cups
Lime juice: 3 tsp
Water: 100 mlÂ
Tequila: 100 ml
Salt: a pinch
Chilli powder: for garnishÂ
(optional)Â
Method
- Blitz in the mango, lime juice, water, salt and tequila in a blender.Â
- Puree the mixture and pour into popsicle moulds to freeze until solid.Â
- Dip the popsicles in chilli powder to garnish and relive your childhood with the flavours.Â
Mango iced tea
Ingredients
Whisky: 30 ml
Rum: 30 ml
Mango puree: 3 tbsp
Iced tea: 120 ml
Lemon wedge: For garnish

Method
- Add all the ingredients to a tall serving glass and top with whisky and rum.Â
- Pour in the iced tea and stir briefly to incorporate.Â
- Garnish with a lemon wedge and serve.
No-bake mango cheesecake
IngredientsÂ
Cream cheese: 250 gm
Cream: 170 gm
Sugar: ½ cup
Mango puree: ¾ cup
Cracker crumbs: 1.5 cups
Unsalted melted butter: 75 gm
Gelatin: 1 tspÂ
Method
- Blitz the crackers in a mixer-grinder and add melted butter. Set the mixture at the bottom of a pan.Â
- Mix cream cheese, cheese, sugar and sugar. Add gelatin to hot water in a separate bowl and add in the mango puree. Add this mixture to the cream cheese mix.Â
- Pour the mixture over the cracker mixture and set in a fridge.Â
