Teens arrested for snatching spree in and around T Nagar
Two teenage mobile phone snatchers, who were behind a series of snatching incidents in and around T Nagar, were arrested by the city police. Taking stern action against those dealing with stolen equipment, the police have arrested two shopkeepers who bought stolen phones from them.

Following several complaints that snatchers were on prowl at odd hours in T Nagar, Pondy Bazaar,Choolaimedu, Aminjikarai and Anna Nagar,a special team was formed by the T Nagar police to nab the miscreants.
After yet another snatching was reported in Pondy Bazaar on Wednesday, the team combed the CCTV footage in the locality. From the visuals captured by the cameras, the personnel identified the duo as Karthik (18) and Senkuttuvan alias Ravi (19).
Soon, the teenagers were tracked and secured. The police seized as many as 18 mobile phones and a two-wheeler from them. During questioning, Karthik and Ravi told the police that they sold the stolen phones in two shops at Sathya Bazaar in T Nagar. Based on their confession, two shopkeepers Raja Mohammed and Harikrishnan were arrested and remanded in judicial custody.
