Trio held for stealing bike
The Ayanavaram police arrested three men for stealing a bike. The accused, Manikandan (21), Vignesh (20) and Porulselvan (25) of Redhills, were remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday and the stolen bike was seized from them.

The bike belongs to Dhanush of Ayanavaram, who works at a restaurant. He parked the bike in front of his house on the night of April 5 and found it missing the next morning. Based on his complaint, the Ayanavaram police registered a case and launched a hunt for the suspects. They traced the bike to Redhills and nabbed the trio for stealing it.
Meanwhile, the Triplicane police arrested a man who tried to flee with a mobile phone and Rs 1,250 from a restaurant. The accused, Saravanan, came to the restaurant on CNK Salai to deliver water cans.
