Man run over on Tambaram Bypass Road
A 26-year-old man, who was sleeping on the roadside, was run over by an unidentified vehicle in the early hours of Tuesday.

Police identified the deceased as Vinod Kumar who travelled in a lorry to Chennai along with his brother-in-law Dayalan.
They had come to collect a consignment from Madhavaram. When they were on the Puzhal-Perungalathur bypass road, they stopped near Kallikuppam toll plaza around 4 am to rest. While Dayalan was sleeping inside the vehicle, Vinod Kumar slept on the roadside where he was run over. Poonamallee traffic investigation police have registered a case.
