College hosts national conference on emerging technologies

NCIIET-2019 welcomed research papers and technical articles from a variety of domains.

Although the domain of topics was not restricted, some of the more encouraged domains were Grid Computing, Cloud Computing, Wireless Sensor Networks, Ubiquitous Computing, Big Data Analytics, Knowledge Representation, Green Computing, Internet of Things, Network Security, Image Processing, Fog Computing and Natural Language Processing.

Out of the 300 research papers and technical articles, 75 papers are from external participants. A total of 210 papers were shortlisted after by the domain experts.

Conference received overwhelming responses from various prestigious colleges like Sairam Engineering College, Chennai; Meenakshi College of Engineering, Kanchipuram; Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai; Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore; Panimalar Institute of Technology, Chennai; IFET College of Engineering, Villupuram; MAM Engineering College, Trichy; Saveetha Engineering College, Chennai and among others.

Nine handpicked domain experts from the department of computer science and engineering and information technology were chosen to assist and oversee the presentation of the papers over three different venues.

The chief guest for the inaugural ceremony was Rajendran Dandapani, Business Solutions Evangelist at Zoho Corporation. Keynote speaker for the event was Dr Udaya Kumar from Rajalakshmi Engineering College. He handled a session on Cloud Analytics and IOT. To review the conference papers, an External session chair was Dr Asha from VIT, Chennai.
