Factory boiler blast kills three, injures five
Three workers died while five others suffered injuries after a boiler burst at a steel pipe manufacturing factory near Uthiramerur on Friday.

 One of the workers who was seriously injured has been admitted to Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital, while the rest of the injured were taken to a private hospital in Potheri.
The deceased persons were identified as Sakshu (28), Agilash (34) and Surender (24) from Uttar Pradesh, who were workers at Noble Tech Industries factory at Kaliyampoondi village near Uthiramerur in neighbouring Kancheepuram district. The factory manufactures towersand big pipes.
The accident happened when the workers were on night duty on Thursday. Police said one of the boilers which is used to melt steel burst at around 10 pm. The eight workers who were standing close to it suffered severe burn injuries. Soon the police and ambulance were informed and all the injured were rushed to a private hospital in Potheri. But the doctors there declared Sakshu, Agilash, Surender dead.
Dinesh who suffered 90 per cent burns was shifted to KMC where he is under intensive care. The Peru Nagar police have registered a case.
