Man having affair with neighbour’s wife murdered

The deceased was identified as Ganapathy from Sriperumbudur. According to the police, Ganapathy, who was already married and had two wives, was allegedly having an affair with his relative and neighbour Balaji’s wife.

The police said that Balaji (28) is working in the Tambaram RTO office while his wife Vanitha is a private firm employee. The couple has an 18-month-old baby. Balaji recently found out that Vanitha was having an affair with Ganapathy. Despite him warning them several times, Ganapathy and Vanitha continued their relationship.

On Monday night, Ganapathy had picked up Vanitha in his car from her office. While both of them were talking inside the car at an isolated place near Sriperumbudur, Balaji along Vanitha’s brother Ajith and two others came to the spot and attacked Ganapathy with sickles. Vanitha, who tried to save him, also suffered injuries. The group fled from the spot after confirming Ganapathy is dead.

The Sriperumbudur police went to the spot and sent the body for autopsy to Sriperumbudur GH. Vanitha is also undergoing treatment. Police registered a case and launched a hunt to nab Balaji, Ajith and two others.
