Man suspects incest, kills 21-year-old son

The deceased, S Satish, worked as a carpenter while his father Sakthivel is a painter. The police said that Sakthivel suspected his wife Loganayaki of infidelity which often led to quarrel between them. The couple also has a daughter.

“As Satish always defended his mother, Sakthivel suspected that Satish and his wife were having an affair and often abused Loganayaki,” said the police. On Sunday night also, they fought over the same issue.

In the wee hours of Monday, Loganayaki heard cries of her son Satish, who was sleeping in next room. She and her daughter rushed to the room where Sakthivel was sitting on Satish, with blood oozing from the knife in his hand. Satish was lying in a pool of blood with several stab injuries. In the melee, Loganayaki and her daughter suffered injuries.

Loganayaki with the help of neighbours rushed Satish to a hospital, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival. Based on Loganayaki’s complaint, the Royala Nagar police have registered a case and arrested Sakthivel.
