Man held after cops nab daughter riding stolen bike

Karthik (33) of Bharathiyar Street is an employee of a private firm in Sathangadu. On Monday, he along with his wife and daughter went to the Krishna Perumal temple at Harikrishnapuram at Manali to attend a pooja. When the family came out of the temple around 11pm, they found the two-wheeler missing from the spot they had parked it. After searching for more than an hour, the family left the place.

Around 1 am, Karthik found a girl riding his vehicle and handed her over to the police. During questioning, the girl had said that it was her father’s bike. The police arrested the man identified as V Saravanan (35), an auto-rickshaw driver. Four stolen two-wheelers were recovered from him. The Manali police registered a case and remanded Saravanan to judicial custody.
