Ensure uninterrupted power supply to exam centres: DGE
The Directorate of Examinations on Monday instructed the authorities to ensure uninterrupted power supply to examination centres. This came after complaints that there were power cuts at some centres during Class 12 language exam on Friday.

A senior official said that circular has been issued to all schools that have examination centres, directing the managements to discuss the matter with electricity board officials.Â
In case of an emergency, the school authorities have been asked to use portable generators to ensure uninterrupted power supply, said the official, adding that action would be taken against the school management if they failed to follow the order.
According to him, a circular has also been issued to electricity board offices across the State to co-operate with the schools for giving continuous power.
The Board exams for Class 12 had started on Friday and would continue till March 18. The Board exams for Class 11 students would be held from March 6 to March 22. Similarly, Class 10 exams would be held from March 14 to March 29.
