Suspended Puzhal warder attempts suicide
A 21-year-old warder of Puzhal Central Prison attempted suicide by consuming mosquito repellent liquid and sleeping pills in the prison quarters on Saturday night after he was suspended as a disciplinary action.

The police said that Livingston Prabu (21) of Tirunelveli, is out of danger while continues to be under treatment. Sources said that prison superintendent suspended him after a few inmates complained that the warder received bribe from them to get them ganja, but cheated them. However, Livingston Prabhu is said to have been upset with the senior officers suspending him after baseless allegations by prisoners. Livingston Prabhu, who worked in Palayamkottai for three years, was recently transferred and posted in Puzhal Central Prison.
