Two men rob woman techie at knifepoint
Two unidentified men robbed a 9-sovereign chain from a software professional at knife point in Chromepet on Tuesday. The CCTV cameras were not working, hampering the efforts to identify them.

The victim Brinda (28), a software engineer, was staying at a house in New Colony with two of her friends. When she was returning home from work at around 7.30 pm, she noticed two men were walking behind her. Just as she reached the house and opened the door, one of them came near and asked for a cup of water. Brinda refused, but the man forced himself into the house and locked the door.
Police said he threatened her at knifepoint, gagged her and snatched her chain. He then fled from the spot on a two-wheeler.
After her friends reached home, she filed a complaint. When they checked two CCTV cameras on the street, police found them not working.
