Karthik Srinivasan’s calendar shows endless possibilities of creating a dream wedding

“A wedding is the dream of every individual and I wanted to give people a glimpse of the journey through a dream wedding photoshoot. Entwined is created with the vision to showcase the many possibilities of a dream destination wedding,” Karthik tells DTNext.

The shoot was done at Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay and GRT, T Nagar. “I created 30 different concepts from which we finalised 12 pictures. Since I wanted to give a fresh look to the calendar, I roped in models instead of actors. Moreover, the concept is the king here,” he says.

What’s even more commendable is that Karthik hasn’t used Photoshop or colour correcting methods for Entwined. “Today, in photography, the usage of Photoshop is dominating — one can easily change the background or foreground according to our convenience. But I strongly believe that’s not the way it’s done,” adds the photographer.

Weddings are getting bigger and more expensive and people don’t mind spending a bomb on it. “Because of Instagram, destination weddings are also gaining more attention and have become a trend now. For the photo shoot, we have covered both south and north Indian weddings but haven’t given any distinction between them. My only challenge was to get the models ready for shoot by 4 in the morning. All the shoot was done in the morning during sunrise,” says Karthik.
