Chennai East gets new JC for fourth time in a week
East region of the city police got the fourth new Joint Commissioner within a week. PK Senthilkumari, DIG, who was transferred from Railways and posted as the Joint Commissioner of Police, East, Chennai, was replaced by MV Jayagowri, DIG, Tamil Nadu Armed Police, as per the latest order.

Senthilkumari will take over as Jayagowri’s previous position as DIG of Tamil Nadu Armed Police. It may be recalled that Senthilkumari replaced V Vanitha as Joint Commissioner, Chennai East, two days ago after Vanitha was retained as Vellore DIG. Before Vanitha, V Balakrishnan was Chennai East’s Joint Commissioner. He is now the DIG of Railways.
