“The residents took out a candlelight march at Thaiyur Road in Chenganmal. They observed silence for a minute and prayed for the departed souls. It was organised to express our support to the Indian Army and their valuable contribution to the nation,” said G Vinoth of Srikaram Shubhadhi Apartment in Kelambakkam.

Similarly, the Bharathipuram Residents Welfare Association in Chromepet also held a candlelight vigil. “Around 60 residents from this locality took part in the event. Crime against humanity, says Prince of Arcot

The Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali in a strongly-worded statement condemned the Pulwama terror attack on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway as ‘a crime against humanity.’

He said that any person or group which attempts to rule the world through aggression, atrocity and domination cannot thrive. He also expressed horror at the fact that youngsters in Kashmir are being brain-washed into becoming terrorists, which is most un-Islamic. It is the duty of religious leaders to wean the youth away from such tendencies.
