History-sheeter brothers attacked, eight arrested

The victims, Kumaresan and his younger brother Vignesh, who have attempted-murder cases pending against them as well, were admitted at Stanley Hospital. On Saturday night, a gang attacked the brothers with machetes outside their house on Poondi Thangammal street before fleeing the spot. 

After admitting the brothers, a hunt was launched and a special team secured the gang hiding in Ennore. The members of the gang were Karthik, Rajasekhar, Thamim Ansari, Rangaraj, Raj alias Masthan, Sivaraj, Lokesh and Mohammed Sadam. Karthik has two murder cases pending against him and was released from prison two days back.
