Chain snatching: Woman, child injured
Two unidentified men snatched a 12-sovereign chain from a 26-year-old woman, who was travelling with her daughter on a two-wheeler, near Kundrathur on Friday. The woman and her daughter fell off the bike and suffered injuries in the incident.

The victim, A Devi of Rendam Kattalai, was returning home on her two-wheeler after picking up her daughter from school in Maduravoyal. When they were crossing Tharapakkam on Tambaram-Maduravoyal bypass service road, two men on a bike followed them and snatched her gold chain. Devi and her daughter fell off the bike and sustained injuries while the duo fled the spot. Based on her complaint, the Kundrathur police have registered a case and launched a hunt for the suspects with the help of CCTV footage.
