History-sheeter hacked to death

The deceased, C Kumaran (22) of Otteri, was arrested in connection with a chain snatching case by TP Chathiram police and was released on bail two weeks ago. On Sunday evening, he was gambling at the Corporation park in Pulianthope. The police said that a quarrel erupted between him and the rest of the gang. Suddenly, four men started attacking Kumaran. 

When he tried to flee, they chased him near KM Garden Second Street and hacked him with knives and iron rods. Kumaran with injuries was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The Pulianthope police have launched a hunt for the suspects. The gang members have been identified as M Hyder (25) alias Appu, Abi, Abinesh and Narendran.
